The Trans-Canada Highway will be closed between Revelstoke and Glacier National Park on Sunday, February 6 between noon and 2 p.m. PT for avalanche control. (DriveBC)

The highway was closed for two hours in both directions for avalanche control work

UPDATED SUNDAY, 3 PM, FEB. 6: The work is complete and the highway is open in both directions.

Avalanche control will once again close the Trans-Canada Highway between Revelstoke and Glacier National Park.

The road will be closed in both directions from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Pacific Time. No detours will be available.

Control work is planned between the Woolsey Creek Bridge and Jumping Creek Road for 12.7 kilometres.
