Men’s casual clothing brand UNTUCKit opens first store in NE Ohio


Men’s casual clothing brand UNTUCKit, which makes shirts designed to not be tucked into pants, is set to make its brick-and-mortar debut in northeast Ohio.

The New York-based company announced that its 1,894-square-foot store in Pine crest Orange Village’s mixed-use development will officially open on Monday, September 9. A spokesperson for Pinecrest Fairmount Properties developer wrote in an email that the store has an early opening on Saturday, September 7 and visitors can shop at UNTUCKit from 10 a.m.

UNTUCKit was launched in 2011. It will be the brand’s 76th store nationwide and the third in Ohio. UNTUCKit already has stores at Cincinnati and Columbus.

The Pinecrest UNTUCKit store is located on Park Avenue, next to a J.Crew store that opened this summer. The stores will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday to Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. A spokesperson for UNTUCKit wrote in an email that she did not have information on the number of employees at the Pinecrest store.

Because UNTUCKit shirts are designed not to be tucked into pants, they are shorter than typical men’s shirts. The company claims to have 13 product categories, ranging from t-shirts and polo shirts to sports jackets and pants.

Its stores are designed with dark blue walls and a seating area. The company said on his site that founder Chris Riccobono and Aaron Sanandres, a Columbia University classmate, developed Riccobono’s concept for the un-tucked shirt into a stand-alone business eight years ago and opened their first store, in the neighborhood of SoHo in New York in 2015. The company employs more than 700 people. in its stores and headquarters in New York.
