Reindeer Road, the world’s largest animated light show, will open on November 17, featuring millions of colorful LED lights and state-of-the-art displays.
World of Illumination’s winter attraction, Reindeer Road, takes visitors on an adventure through themed ‘environments’ of mountainous terrain, cold ice caves and stunning forests as they make their way to the North Pole mystical.
Located in Santa Anita Park, California and spanning over a million square feet, the experience is fully synchronized with popular vacation music as visitors walk past hundreds of illuminated screens, while listening to the tape- sound from their car radio.
Among the displays is the world’s largest animated toy store, sparkling with over 250,000 lights.
Magic glasses with holographic lenses, which must be purchased online in advance, allow guests to participate in a special 3D treasure hunt; these are sold in packs of four only.
Visitors who wish to bring magic to their car can purchase battery-powered foam sonic wands, which light up and “dance” to the beat of the music.
Santa will make appearances every Magic Monday and on public holidays, with the exception of Christmas Eve, when Madame Noel or Santa’s elves take his place.
“Our team is working overtime to deliver a truly immersive, larger-than-life audiovisual experience in Southern California,” said Yakir Urman, CEO of World of Illumination. “Our goal is to provide an unforgettable event that creates lasting memories for children of all ages. “
Reindeer Road will be open from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. nightly, including holidays, from November 17, 2021 to January 2, 2022. The trip covers one mile and takes approximately 25-30 minutes.
Ticket prices ($ 79- $ 89) are per vehicle, and a portion of the proceeds will benefit Make-A-Wish Greater Los Angeles. Online reservations are required, with no ticket sales at the door.
