The biggest animated light show of the holidays is coming to San Antonio soon

A new driving holiday light show, featuring the world’s largest and longest animated LED tunnel, will open on November 3 at Retama Parkway in Selma, about 18 miles northeast of San Antonio.

The Light Park will feature over a million LED lights throughout its mile-long light show and musical experience, according to a press release from the park. It includes a light show synchronized to a festive mix of Christmas music played on a dedicated station.

Patrons waiting to enter the park can tune into the KGLO radio station. The statement noted that famous KGLO radio crew DJ Polar Ice and his crew were traveling to Texas from the North Pole to do an on-site show.

It is the largest animated holiday light show as well as the largest 700 foot animated LED tunnel in the world.

The show is filled with family entertainment, including activities and interactive entertainment for children and adults.

Cost starts at $ 35 per vehicle for tickets purchased in advance and admission varies by time of show (weekdays and weekends) and runs nightly from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Visitors should remain in their vehicle when visiting the park and while on park property. Customers are encouraged to bring their snacks to enjoy in their car. Vehicles over 30 feet will not be allowed in the park, including limousines, trailers and buses.

The Light Park will remain open until January 2, 2022. The Vacation Business offers vacation light shows at four parks in Texas: Spring, Katy, Selma and Grand Prairie.

“We are very grateful for the overwhelming response to our light parks. It remains important to provide a fun and safe environment for families while on vacation,” said Matt Johnson, co-creator of Light Park, in the release.
